HAUL ROUTE:

  • Materials will be hauled northbound on State Route (SR) 43 from Kent Avenue turning westbound on Lansing Avenue to a high-speed rail construction site.

Drivers may experience delays. Haul route subject to change.

Construction crews actively monitor weather conditions and follow strict protocols for visibility and fog safety. Please drive cautiously, allow extra travel time, and maintain a safe following distance.

Description

Kings County, Calif. – The California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority), in cooperation with design-build contractor Dragados-Flatiron Joint Venture (DFJV), announces intermittent traffic impacts along State Route (SR) 43 between Kent and Lansing avenues in Kings County to transport materials to a high-speed rail construction site. Hauling is scheduled intermittently from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. starting Tuesday, March 10 through Monday, March 16, 2026.

This work is part of Construction Package 2-3 (CP 2-3), the 65-mile stretch of high-speed rail along State Route (SR) 43 between Kent Avenue and Lansing Avenue in Kings County.

All construction activities and schedules are subject to change. The California High-Speed Rail project is considered a critical infrastructure sector, and as the project continues, staff, contractors and construction workers are following specific guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all employees due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
