MULTIPLE INTERMITTENT CLOSURES:

  • Road closure along Pickfair Way, south of Avenue 19;
  • Road closure along Zel Kova Way, south of Avenue 19;
  • Road closure along Ridgedale Drive, south of Avenue 19;
  • Road closure along Hanover Drive, between Ridgedale Drive and El Vado Drive.

Work is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting Thursday, Nov. 2 through Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2023.

Detour

Girders will be transported east on Grangeville Boulevard, south on Seventh Avenue, then west on Lacey Boulevard.

Drivers may experience delays.

Description

Kings County, Calif. – The California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority), in cooperation with design-build contractor Dragados-Flatiron Joint Venture (DFJV), announces intermittent traffic impacts along Grangeville Boulevard, Seventh Avenue, and Lacey Boulevard in Kings County to transport pre-cast girders to the Hanford Viaduct. Work is scheduled from 4 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Thursday, July 20, 2023.

This work is part of Construction Package 2-3 (CP 2-3), the 65-mile stretch of high-speed rail between East American Avenue in Fresno County and one-mile north of the Tulare-Kern County line.

All construction activities and schedules are subject to change. The California High-Speed Rail project is considered a critical infrastructure sector, and as the project continues, staff, contractors and construction workers are following specific guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all employees due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Traffic laws will be fully enforced and commuters are expected to be aware of the surrounding activities, remain alert and watch for construction vehicles and personnel.
