MULTIPLE CLOSURES:
- Road closure along G Street between Belgravia and Church avenues;
- Road closure along Church Avenue between Sarah Street and Sunland Avenue;
- Road closure along G Street between California and Cherry avenues;
- Road closure along southbound Cherry Avenue between California Avenue and G Street;
- Road closure along Belgravia Avenue between G Street and Railroad Avenue;
- Road closure along Railroad Avenue between Van Ness and Orange avenues.
- Intermittent lane and shoulder closures along Golden State Boulevard between Florence and Jensen avenues;
- Road closure along East Avenue between Golden State Boulevard and Railroad Avenue;
- Road closure along Cesar Chavez Boulevard between F and Broadway streets.
Work is scheduled to start Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025, and will continue through March 2026.

Detour
GOLDEN STATE BOULEVARD TO WESTBOUND CHURCH AVENUE DETOUR:
- Traffic going north and south on Golden State Boulevard to westbound Church Avenue will be detoured west on Jensen Avenue, then north on Elm Street to Church Avenue.
GOLDEN STATE BOULEVARD TO EASTBOUND CHURCH AVENUE DETOUR:
- Traffic going north and south on Golden State Boulevard to eastbound Church Avenue will be detoured east on Jensen Avenue, then north on Chestnut Avenue to Church Avenue.
CHURCH AVENUE TO SOUTHBOUND GOLDEN STATE BOULEVARD DETOUR:
- Traffic going east on Church Avenue to southbound Golden State Boulevard will be detoured south on Elm Street, then east on Jensen Avenue to Golden State Boulevard.
- Traffic going west on Church Avenue to southbound Golden State Boulevard will be detoured south on Orange Avenue, then west on Jensen Avenue to Golden State Boulevard.
EAST AVENUE TO WESTBOUND CHURCH AVENUE DETOUR:
- Traffic going along East Avenue to westbound Church Avenue will be detoured west on California Avenue, south on Van Ness Avenue, north on Railroad Avenue, west on California Avenue, south on F Street, south on Golden State Boulevard, west on Jensen Avenue, then north on Elm Street to Church Avenue.
EAST AVENUE TO EASTBOUND CHURCH AVENUE DETOUR:
- Traffic going along East Avenue to eastbound Church Avenue will be detoured east on California Avenue, then south on Orange Avenue to Church Avenue.
WESTBOUND CHURCH AVENUE TRUCK DETOUR:
- Truck traffic going along westbound Church Avenue will be detoured south on Orange Avenue, west on Jensen Avenue, north on Elm Street to Church Avenue.
EASTBOUND CHURCH AVENUE TRUCK DETOUR:
- Truck traffic along eastbound Church Avenue will be detoured south on Elm Street, east on Jensen Avenue, then north on Chestnut Avenue to Church Avenue.
G STREET TO WESTBOUND CHURCH AVENUE TRUCK DETOUR:
- Truck traffic along G Street will be detoured west on Mono Street, south on F Street, west on Cesar Chavez Boulevard, south on C Street, east onto the Golden State Access Road, south on Golden State Boulevard, west on Jensen Avenue, north on Elm Avenue to Church Avenue.
G STREET EASTBOUND CHURCH AVENUE TRUCK DETOUR:
- Truck traffic along G Street will be detoured east on Mono Street, south on Broadway Street, east on Cesar Chavez Boulevard, south on M Street, east on Butler Avenue, south on Chestnut Avenue to Church Avenue.
Signage for road closure and detour routes will be in place to direct traffic. Flaggers will be deployed as necessary. Pedestrian access will be restricted. Access will be maintained for businesses and property owners.
Description
Fresno, CALIF. – The California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority), in cooperation with design-build contractor Tutor-Perini / Zachry / Parsons (TPZP), announces multiple closures along Church Avenue and Golden State Boulevard in Fresno for construction of a high-speed rail grade separation. Work is scheduled to begin Wednesday, Nov. Nov. 26, 2025, and will continue through March 2026.
This work is part of Construction Package 1 (CP 1), the first 32-mile stretch of high-speed rail between Avenue 19 in Madera County and East American Avenue in Fresno County.
All construction activities and schedules are subject to change. The California High-Speed Rail project is considered a critical infrastructure sector, and as the project continues, staff, contractors and construction workers are following specific guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all employees due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Traffic laws will be fully enforced and commuters are expected to be aware of the surrounding activities, remain alert and watch for construction vehicles and personnel. The public is asked to drive carefully and be extra cautious while traveling though the construction areas.
