Multiple Closures:
- Intermittent lane closures along Olive Avenue between West and Carruth avenues;
- Southbound road closure along Delno Avenue between Hammond and Olive avenues;
- Intermittent road closures along Weber Avenue between Floradora and Olive avenues.
Work is scheduled from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Sunday, Oct. 12 and will continue through Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025.

Detour
Southbound West Avenue To Eastbound Olive Avenue Detour:
- Traffic going southbound on West Avenue to eastbound Olive Avenue will be detoured east on McKinley Avenue, then south on Fruit Avenue to Olive Avenue.
Westbound McKinley Avenue To Eastbound Olive Avenue Truck Detour:
- Truck traffic going westbound on McKinley Avenue to eastbound Olive Avenue will be detoured north on West Avenue, west on Clinton Avenue, then south on Marks Avenue to Olive Avenue.
Eastbound Olive Avenue To Northbound Weber Avenue Detour:
- Eastbound traffic along Olive Avenue to northbound Weber Avenue will be detoured north on Golden State Boulevard, east on Clinton Avenue, then south on West Avenue to Weber Avenue.
West Avenue To Southbound Weber Avenue Detour:
- Traffic along West Avenue will be detoured west on Clinton Avenue, south on Marks Avenue, east on Olive Avenue to Weber Avenue.
Olive Avenue To Northbound Weber Avenue Detour:
- Traffic along Olive Avenue will be detoured north on Golden State Boulevard, east on Clinton Avenue, south on West Avenue to Weber Avenue.
Signage will be in place to direct traffic. Access to all businesses and residents will be maintained. Pedestrian access will be restricted in some areas.
Description
Fresno, Calif. – The California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority), in cooperation with design-build contractor Tutor-Perini / Zachry / Parsons (TPZP), announces multiple closures along Olive, Weber and Delno avenues in Fresno for utility work. Work is scheduled from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Sunday, Oct. 12
and will continue through Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025.
This work is part of Construction Package 1 (CP 1), the first 32-mile stretch of high-speed rail between Avenue 19 in Madera County and East American Avenue in Fresno County.
All construction activities and schedules are subject to change. The California High-Speed Rail project is considered a critical infrastructure sector, and as the project continues, staff, contractors and construction workers are following specific guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all employees due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Traffic laws will be fully enforced and commuters are expected to be aware of the surrounding activities, remain alert and watch for construction vehicles and personnel.
