Detour

EASTBOUND TRAFFIC:

  • Traffic going eastbound on Avenue 120 will be detoured north on Road 24, east on Avenue 128, south on SR 43 then east on Avenue 120.

WESTBOUND TRAFFIC:

  • Traffic going westbound on Avenue 120 will be detoured north on SR 43, west on Avenue 128, south on Road 24, then west on Avenue 120.

Drivers should proceed with caution as roadways may be flooded.Signage will be in place to direct traffic.Access will be maintained for all property and business owners. 

Description

Tulare County, Calif. – The California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority), in cooperation with design-build contractor Dragados-Flatiron Joint Venture (DFJV), announces a road closure along Avenue 120 between State Route (SR) 43 and Road 24 in Tulare County for construction of a high-speed rail overcrossing. Work is scheduled to begin Monday, July 17, 2023 and will continue through December 2025. This work is part of Construction Package 2-3 (CP 2-3), the 65-mile stretch of high-speed rail between East American Avenue in Fresno County and one-mile north of the Tulare-Kern County line.

All construction activities and schedules are subject to change. The California High-Speed Rail project is considered a critical infrastructure sector, and as the project continues, staff, contractors and construction workers are following specific guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all employees due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
