MULTIPLE CLOSURES:

  • Road closure along Conejo Avenue, between Chestnut and Peach avenues;
  • Road closure along the intersection of Topeka and Conejo avenues.

Work is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025.

Detour

NORTHBOUND TOPEKA AVENUE DETOUR:

  • Traffic going northbound on Topeka Avenue to Conejo Avenue will be detoured east on Efird Avenue, then north on Peach Avenue to Conejo Avenue.

SOUTHBOUND TOPEKA AVENUE DETOUR:

  • Traffic going southbound on Topeka Avenue from Conejo Avenue will be detoured south on Peach Avenue, then west on Efird Avenue to Topeka Avenue.

WESTBOUND CONEJO AVENUE DETOUR:

  • Traffic going westbound on Conejo Avenue will be detoured south on Peach Avenue, west on Clarkson Avenue, then north on Chestnut Avenue to Conejo Avenue.

EASTBOUND CONEJO AVENUE DETOUR:

  • Traffic going eastbound on Conejo Avenue will be directed south on Chestnut Avenue, east on Clarkson Avenue, then north on Peach Avenue to Conejo Avenue.

Signage and flaggers will be in place to direct traffic. Access will be maintained to all residents and property owners.

Description

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. – The California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority), in cooperation with design-build contractor Dragados-Flatiron Joint Venture (DFJV), announces road closures along Conejo and Topeka avenues in Fresno County for ongoing work at the Conejo Viaduct. Work is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025.

This work is part of Construction Package 2-3 (CP 2-3), the 65-mile stretch of high-speed rail between East American Avenue in Fresno County and one-mile north of the Tulare-Kern County line.

All construction activities and schedules are subject to change. The California High-Speed Rail project is considered a critical infrastructure sector, and as the project continues, staff, contractors and construction workers are following specific guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all employees due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Traffic laws will be fully enforced and commuters are expected to be aware of the surrounding activities, remain alert and watch for construction vehicles and personnel. The public is asked to drive carefully and be extra cautious while traveling though the construction areas.
