REALIGNMENT OF STATE ROUTE 99
Portions of State Route 99 (SR 99) located within the CP 1 contract limits have been realigned to accommodate the high-speed rail project between the existing SR 99 and the Union Pacific Railroad. The project shifted portions of the highway between Ashlan and Clinton avenues nearly 100 feet to the west to make room for the high-speed rail alignment while improving traffic operations, reducing congestion, and enhancing traffic safety in the region. The State Route 99 realignment was completed in February 2019.
