Kansas Avenue west of Highway 43 and south of Hanford.
Crews are construction an overcrossing at Kansas Avenue that will take vehicle traffic over the high-speed rail alignment.
At Kansas Avenue girders are placed to form the foundation for the overcrossing’s superstructure. A total of eight girders, each about 60 feet long, were set to link the piers to the abutments. Another four girders nearly 90 feet in length were then set to span the distance between the piers. Once diaphragms are constructed and poured to tie all the girders together bridge deck construction will begin.
